Luz Sanchez was born in Montevideo, Uruguay. Since early ages she draws and paints. She is an autodidatic artist. Her first collective exhibition was when she was twelve years old. She took hers curriculars studies: Primary and Secondary studies, then she married and ran a house for many years.
Later she took some courses about different techniques, art history, art contemporary and latinoamerican art to improve hers knowledges. In the year 2000 she created her atelier.
Her art is figurative, humanistic, diverse and contemporain. She works the oil painting but also the acrylic, oil pastel, collage etc. creating a mix technique which gives her a world of possibilities in the creation of hers artworks.
